During A Swine Evening, ceramic piggy banks autographed by local and national celebrities are auctioned with a package that includes items related to the celebrity. Most of the 90 plus piggy banks are sold in our silent auction. These include 20 piggy banks from our greatest celebrities – our client children. A handful of banks and packages are sold by live auction near the end of the event.
“WOW” is about the only word that even remotely conveys how I am feeling about Saturday night’s event. I am humbled by and grateful for the generosity of our community in support of our children. We totally blew out our goal of $200K and raised over $255K! On behalf of the kids we serve and from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

A Child’s Place is excited to announce that WSOC-TV anchors Natalie Pasquarella and Blair Miller will be the emcee’s for our annual fundraiser A Swine Evening this year!
Natalie and Blair co-anchor WSOC’s Eyewitness News at 5:30pm. Originally from Ohio, Natalie joined WSOC in 2008 as an investigative reporter. Blair came to WSOC in 2002 from Charleston, South Carolina where he had been investigating and reporting events all over the world. They have become a big part of the Charlotte volunteer community and enjoy giving back.
